Acceptance of Orders
The debit or credit card details you give to us will be validated before your order can be accepted. Payment will be charged to your account before dispatch of your order. We accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS and DISCOVER CARD. All cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If your card issuer refuses to authorize payment we will not be liable for delay or non-delivery.
Orders are processed in the order they are received, on the business day following their receipt. For example, orders placed on Wednesday will be processed on Thursday. Orders placed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be processed the following Monday.
Orders are processed during standard business hours Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm EST, excluding holidays.
Orders are shipped via UPS Ground or Fed Ex .DeMert Brands, Inc. and its family of brands is proud to offer FREE shipping to continental US customers via UPS Ground or FedEx on orders of $40 or more. This offer is valid only on orders which include $40 or more worth of goods (not including taxes). By law, flammable items are not permitted to ship by air.

Domestic orders are usually shipped within 3 to 5 business days after being received. Domestic orders are expected to arrive within 2 to 10 business days from ship date, depending on your location. For International orders, arrival times will vary. Please see the below under ‘International Shipping.’

If for any reason you believe your items to be damaged or defective we will be happy accept returns of the remaining unused items. Once these items are received we will issue a credit to the purchasing credit card or exchange the item(s) for other Not Your Mother’s Haircare items of your choosing.

4. For the protection of the goods and to ensure prompt delivery, we recommend that you send your return via an insured method which can be tracked in the case of loss (i.e. UPS or Certified United States Postal Service).
PLEASE NOTE: If you return an item, the initial shipping fees are non-refundable. Additionally, return shipping fees are non-refundable.
Your return and/or exchange request will be processed as soon as possible. Most returns and/or exchanges are processed within 5-7 business days of receipt.
International Shipping Restrictions
Due to warranty issues and manufacturer restrictions as a result of international laws, we are not able to ship all products to all geographical locations. The items we cannot ship are considered hazardous items, including but not limited to: aerosols, heat protectants and most hair oils or serums.
Jan. 2014 UPDATE: Unfortunately, due to recent regulations, we are unable to ship goods to the EU. The countries in the EU we are unable to ship to include: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. Your packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. International shipping and handling via US MAIL begins at $35.00 and increases with the weight of the package and actual destination.
PLEASE NOTE: You are exclusively responsible for shipping & handling charges. These costs will be charged to your credit card even if you refuse the package for any reason whatsoever.
You may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from demertbrands.com or nymbrands.com, you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Your privacy is important to us, and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our international customers and customers shipping products internationally to be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
Also, we may provide certain order, shipment and product information to our international carriers, and such information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws.
Customs authorities require us to state the value of the gift item directly on the package.
International Shipping Methods
Currently, all international orders are shipped via US MAIL. The transit time for international orders is approximately 4-6 weeks due to the nature of the product. We are unable to provide tracking information for an international order once it has left the United States. We will only be able to provide the tracking number for United States movement which is provided to us by US MAIL. However, should you be looking for your international shipment, you will need this information when inquiring with your local post offices.
International Customer Payment Information
We accept payment by VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, DISCOVER CARD, U.S. Money Order or Electronic Bank Transfer only.
*We also want our International customers to be aware that a small purchase may cost more to ship internationally than the value of the product itself. For example an $18.00 item shipped outside the US may have shipping costs of $35.00 and tariff & custom costs of $25.00 or more. Therefore the total cost for the $18.00 product would become approximately $78.00 or more.
